Who We Are

Here's the deal, Create Church cares about one thing more than anything else, connection. Create Church is a family of individuals that desire a connected life: Real connections with the creator, healthy lives, fulfilling careers, and loving relationships.

How We Got Started

Jake and Kaelia Vayda shared a dream to create a space where people could genuinely connect with God and one another. As a SD native and a longtime local, they saw the need for a life-giving church rooted in connection.

That dream became Create Church.

In our very first year, we met in three different locations, trusting God every step of the way. Then something incredible happened, God opened a door for us to move from a portable setup to a permanent home. That shift meant more space, greater impact, and increased visibility as we head into year two.

This simply doesn’t happen in Southern California for a church plant barely a year old. We are deeply grateful and incredibly expectant for what God is building next.

Where We're Headed

Here’s the Vision

We see a future where the new generations help the next generation find and follow Jesus.

Rolando and La Mesa are full of young families putting down roots, while San Diego State University, just a mile and a half away, is filled with students searching. We don’t see that intersection as an accident; we see it as divine design.

We see people across San Diego encountering Jesus, being changed forever, and carrying that transformation into every neighborhood of our city, and beyond.

This vision is personal. We’re all in, planting roots, raising our family nearby, and believing God is building something that will shape generations to come.
